Overview

The Jonathan Larson Grants, administered by the American Theatre Wing, are unrestricted annual awards for early-career musical theatre composers, lyricists and librettists, or writing teams. The grant is intended to support artistic endeavors and sustain long-term writing careers, and recipients decide how to use the funds; the program also provides recording support for recipients through the Saw Island Foundation. The program is permanently housed at the Wing with support from the Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation and the Larson family.

Eligibility

Composers, lyricists, librettists (individuals or teams) early in career; US-based; must submit work samples.

Notes
