Overview
The Drama League/MTC Directing Fellowship is a two-year program offered by The Drama League in partnership with Manhattan Theatre Club as part of the Drama League Stage Directing Fellowships. Each fellow receives a $100,000 scholarship prize ($50,000 per year), up to $10,000 in health-insurance reimbursement, and an artistic engagement at MTC where they work within the artistic department and, in year two, direct a reading or workshop of the theater's choosing. It appears to have superseded MTC's standalone Jonathan Alper Directing Fellowship; MTC separately accepts resumes from directors interested in assistant directing.
