Manhattan Theatre Club Names Allison Curran Chief Development Officer

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced the appointment of Allison Curran as its new Chief Development Officer, effective Monday, August 24. Curran has over 15 years of experience as a development professional, working at a range of institutions to secure funding from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government agencies.

She comes to Manhattan Theatre Club from Facing History & Ourselves, a nonprofit that provides professional development and curricular resources for educators, where she served as Director of Development for its New York region. 

She was previously Director of Institutional Giving and Major Gifts at the Jewish Museum, where she led a team of eight in securing funds for the Museum's exhibitions, outreach programs, special projects, and general operations.

She began her career at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, where she raised funds for seven performance series, including Great Performances, Mostly Mozart, and the Lincoln Center Festival.

She holds an MA in Arts Administration from Columbia University and a BA in English and Theater and Performance Studies from Georgetown University.
