Berkeley Rep's Next Generation Fellowship offers full-time, 11-month immersive training in production disciplines including costumes, lighting/electrics, production management, properties, scenic art, scenic construction, sound (the Harry Weininger fellowship), and stage management. Fellows work alongside professional staff and visiting designers, receive mentorship and shadowing opportunities, professional development sessions, a $1,250 monthly stipend, shared housing with utilities, a travel reimbursement, and complimentary tickets. The program targets people who already have basic training in their field and are ready to move into professional theatre, with emphasis on applicants from underrepresented communities.
