Overview
Berkeley Repertory Theatre's Fellowship Program is an 11-month, full-time early-career training program in artistic, administrative, production and education roles; the artistic track (the Bret C. Harte and Peter F. Sloss Artistic fellowships) offers mentored work in season planning, producing, casting, dramaturgy and rehearsal-room support. Fellows receive a monthly stipend, housing in Berkeley Rep's Medak Center, and regular seminars with guest speakers and senior staff. A dedicated directing-only fellowship slot could not be confirmed for 2026-27; Berkeley Rep is also a host partner for the Drama League Stage Directing Fellowships. (from search snippets)
Eligibility
Serious-minded early-career theatre professionals ready to begin a career; specific directing/artistic track availability varies by season.
Notes
Berkeley Rep is also a partner theatre in the Drama League Stage Directing Fellowships (Ground Floor summer engagement). Could not confirm whether a dedicated directing fellowship slot exists in 2026-27; contact fellowship@berkeleyrep.org.
