SEEKING:
DARREN/DAVEY Cover (Male, Biracial Black/White, 30s) – DARREN identified as gifted practically from birth, he is handsome, charming, beloved in the city, the informal face of the game. His status has rendered him almost uncannily insulated from serious blowback in his life. He imagines anything he chooses to do will be received well and is gob smacked when it is not. Biracial, which is perceived by many to be a near-allegory for the possibilities of social harmony. DAVEY is Darren’s lifelong best friend who is a star player on a less good baseball team. He is very verbal, very religious, and very much a family man. Cares deeply about Darren. Wants Darren to stop being so sly and reveal his ‘true self' NUDITY REQUIRED.
MASON/SKIPPER/DANZINGER Cover (Male, White, 40s-50s) – MASON is a crack business manager who has decided that that’s all life has to offer him and it’s plenty. Is not in the market for an awakening then baseball happens to him and he’s in rapture. SKIPPER is a wise, paternal, Torre-esque figure, loved by his players. DANZINGER is a suburban dad who considers himself a fine, progressive man but at a certain point gets confused.

[CAST - Jesse Tyler Ferguson] - MASON MARZAC (Male, White, 40s-50s) - Crack business manager who has decided that that’s all life has to offer him and it’s plenty. Is not in the market for an awakening then baseball happens to him and he’s in rapture.

TBA - TODDY KOOVITZ (Male, White, 20s-30s) - Talented veteran prone to mental lapses. When he can’t sleep at night, he counts the ways he’s every bit as good a player as Darren Lemming. Has decided that the revelation of Darren’s sexuality is threatening to him, not necessarily because it is. NUDITY REQUIRED.
TBA - RODRIGUEZ (Male, Latine, 20s-30s) - Function as a unit. A team-within-the-team. Strong players, best friends, and heated rivals. Don’t much like what’s happening. NUDITY REQUIRED.
TBA - KIPPY SUNDERSTROM (Male, White, 30s) - Veteran player, with good skills and excellent instincts. Backbone of the team. Several time All-Star, not in the discussion for the Hall of Fame. Probably the smartest player in baseball. Witty, generous, insightful but may have too optimistic a view of human nature. NUDITY REQUIRED.
TBA - MARTINEZ (Male, Latine, 20s-30s) - Function as a unit. A team-within-the-team. Strong players, best friends, and heated rivals. Don’t much like what’s happening. NUDITY REQUIRED.

TBA - SHANE MUNGITT (Male, White, 20s-30s) - Anger-fueled relief pitcher with a dangerous arm. Orphaned in a terrible way, and abandoned. From a southern state; even he’s not sure which one. Heartbreaking, depending on how you look at him. All he wants to do is throw. Because of his success, he’s forced to speak, sadly. NUDITY REQUIRED.
TBA - TAKESHI KAWABATA (Male, Japanese, 20s-30s) - Ace pitcher. Does not speak English, probably as an expression of resistance. Brooding with the resentment of generations. Note: Japanese actors encouraged to submit as the entire role is spoken in Japanese. NUDITY REQUIRED.
