Equity Chorus Dancers for 2-Week Developmental Workshop of SMALLTOWN BOY (see breakdown).
SMALLTOWN BOY (formerly “AIN’T DONE BAD”) set in the Deep South, 1984. When a sheltered young boy from a combative Evangelical household can't quiet the voices in his head, he is forced to confront his deepest fears and desires on an Odyssey to find himself - all without speaking a word. Featuring the music of country superstar Orville Peck, SmallTown Boy uses dance to explore the journey of growing up gay in the South and begs the question: how do we leave shame behind and embrace our own authentic voice? Receiving nominations for “Outstanding Choreography” by the Drama Desk Awards & “Best Unique Theatrical Experience” in 2025, creator Jakob Karr has reimagined this production with plans for a future open-ended run Off-Broadway.
Please bring a headshot and resume stapled together. Will be dancing barefoot. Dress comfortably for contemporary dance movement.
