BREAKDOWN
SEEKING:
KARIN: she/her, 20s-early 30s. Striking and youthful. Otherworldly. Petra takes her under her wing and falls for her. Karin has recently returned to Germany, leaving a husband behind. From a troubled working-class upbringing, she's increasingly intrigued by the finer things in life. Accepts Petra's proposition of a life together but quickly tires of her, unable to commit fully to Petra when something better comes along. Candid and enamored with fame.
GABI: she/her, 18+ to play 16-18. Petra's teenage daughter. Has a natural kindness. Doesn't feel noticed or appreciated by her family. Both intrigued and troubled by her tempestuous mother. Always looking to offer love even when she may not get it back.
THE FOLLOWING ROLES HAVE BEEN CAST:
PETRA: CAST. she/her, 40s-50s. Prominent German fashion designer from a privileged background. Desperate for love and admiration. Moody.
MARLENE: CAST. she/her, 40s-50s. Petra's assistant. A diligent worker who is constantly criticized and put down.
SIDONIE: CAST. she/her, 40s-50s. Petra's social-climbing cousin. Gossipy and involved in everyone's business.
VALERIE: CAST. she/her, 70s. Petra's mother. Tries her best to advise Petra. Lives off of Petra's money.
