About:
Hello, From the Children of Planet Earth a comedy about conception and deep-space travel. As partners Betsy and Shoshana try to have a baby, friends William and Freddy try to ensure Voyager 1 makes it to interstellar space. With careers on the line and life choices looming, when is the right time to go all in?
WILLIAM
(Male, 35) A NASA aerospace engineer guided by logic and science. Highly intelligent and career oriented. A solitary person asking the big questions of the universe, who has no need for earthbound humans until he realizes he does. Any race/ethnicity.
BETSY
(Female, 35) William's childhood friend. Works for Amnesty International. Sweet, kind, tenacious and reflective. Can make friends with anyone. Determined to make a baby with her partner Shoshana. Battling against long odds but trying her best to stay hopeful. Any race/ethnicity.
SHOSHANA
(Female, 35) Betsy's partner. A blunt, no filter firecracker who does not suffer fools lightly. Works as a chef. Ambitious. Any race/ethnicity.
FREDDY
(Male, 35) William's friend and coworker at NASA. Recently divorced. Funny crass, and somewhat offensive when you first meet him but this conceals more emotions and awareness then he is willing to admit. He always has your back, even if you don't want him to. Any race/ethnicity.
THE FARTHEST EXPLORER IN THE UNIVERSE
(Female, 18 - early 20s) A space probe with a heart of gold. Possesses a trove of human knowledge but has also seen more of the galaxy then any human has. This provides her with a wide array of information and a unique outside perspective on the events unfolding. Young, bright, intelligent and optimistic. Any race/ethnicity.
