Please prepare 2 contrasting monologues, one comedic and one dramatic - no more than 3-minutes in length total. Please bring your headshot and resume.

GOOD NIGHT, OSCAR

SEEKING

BOB SARNOFF: Male; 40 to 50 years old; Expensively dressed in a dark suit. The reigning president of NBC during television's Golden Age.

JACK PARR: (Role Cast -

SEEKING

replacements and/or understudy) Male; 30 to 40 years old; Bob Sarnoff's contemporary, and America's smoothest talker.

JUNE LEVANT: (Role Cast -

SEEKING

replacements and/or understudy) Female; 40 to 46 years old; Attractive and gracious under pressure. Seemingly put-upon, she actually has a core of steel.

ALVIN FINNEY: Male; 20 to 30 years old; A young medical orderly working in the mental ward at Mount Sinai, with a droll sense of humor and serious ambition.

MAX WEINBAUM: Male; 20 to 28 years old; Jack Parr's new production assistant. A young man whose ingratiating enthusiasm is matched only by his comic ineptitude.

OSCAR LEVANT: Male; 50 to 55 years old; He's got the face of a movie gangster, the posture of a sad sack, and enough scabrous wit for the whole Algonquin Round Table. Can play piano proficiently.

GEORGE GERSHWIN: Male; 30 to 37 years old; Charming and rakish. He's got the tapered physique of an athlete, a winning grin and the most celebrated career in American popular music.
