SUBMISSIONS INSTRUCTIONS:
We are now accepting video submissions through Friday, October 23rd for the role of MONICA JENAE (see below).
Material for audition: Please read from CAPING audition script at https://www.dropbox.com/s/uvts7p3bre5ofnr/Caping%20-%20Audition%20Script%20.pdf?dl=0. Actors do not have to be off book.
Submission: Please limit your video submission to 3 minutes maximum. This time limit includes your slate (your name, name of play and character of the piece you will be performing).
Please upload your video audition to Youtube, Vimeo or similar a video sharing site and provide a link for viewing. Please do not share via WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud or other file sharing platform.

SEEKING:
MONICA JENAE: Monica Jenae is a video producer in her late 20s-mid 30s. She has a Master's degree and a 12 month old. She is a diasporic woman who grew up in Boston, but can sound like she's from anywhere in the northeast. She is a creative person and accessorizes accordingly. She bears her natural hair and/or a head wrap. She has a decent social media following and speaks to the SM universe like she would a girlfriend who knows the challenges of working in a white-supremacist drenched culture. She is a master of code switching. Monica Jenae is erudite, irreverent, sensitive and earnest. Her greatest fear is being misunderstood and her deepest pain point is injustice. She fears for the world her baby girl will grow up in.
