Tuesdays with Morrie

TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE is the autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie's appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.

*The roles of MITCH and MORRIE have been cast. Actors will be considered for replacements and understudies.

MITCH: Role CAST. Male, 30s, Morrie’s former student at Brandeis and the narrator of the play.*

MORRIE: Role CAST. Male, 50s-60s. Mitch’s favorite professor from Brandeis. He suffers from ALS.*

Biloxi Blues

When we last met Eugene Jerome, he was coping with adolescence in 1930's Brooklyn. Here, he is a young army recruit during WW II, going through basic training and learning about Life and Love with a capital 'L' along with some harsher lessons, while stationed at boot camp in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1943.

Collected Stories

Ruth Steiner is a teacher and respected short story writer. Her student and protégée is Lisa Morrison. Over the course of 6 years, Lisa journeys from insecure student to successful writer. After publishing a well-received collection of short stories, Lisa writes a novel based on Ruth's affair with the poet Delmore Schwartz. The women deal with the moral dilemma of whether a person's life events are suitable for another to use in their own creative process.

RUTH: Female, 30s-40s. A teacher and respected short story writer.

Becoming Dr. Ruth

It remains one of the world's most widely produced plays. The plot follows a love affair between two people, Doris and George, married to others, who rendezvous once a year. Twenty-five years of manners and morals are hilariously and touchingly played out by the lovers.

It’s the fall of 1948. The Netherlands just crowned a new queen. The Dutch brought home medals in this year’s summer Olympics. People are happy. For the first time since the war, things are finally looking up. Inside Café Puttanesca, the booze is flowing, songs are being sung, and people are getting back to living life the way it should be lived.

THE OWNER: Male, 20s-40s. An American Ex-Patriot.

THE COOK: Female, 20s-40s. His Italian wife.

THE DUCHESS: Female, 20s-40. An English Prostitute.

THE BARONESS: Female, 20s-40s. A German Prostitute.

THE MARQUESA: Female, 20s-40s. A French Prostitute/Madame.
