The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a Tony Award-winning musical in which six awkward adolescent champions face off in a high-stakes spelling bee, with emotions running from joy to heartbreak as the pressure rises with each word spelled. The production features music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin, and is conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss. Citadel's Associate Artistic Director Mieko Ouchi directs, with the cast including Jill Agopsowicz, Sheldon Elter, Cynthia Jimenez-Hicks, Rain Matkin, Christina Nguyen, Cody Porter, Mark Sinongco, Farren Timoteo, and Michael Watt. A Relaxed Experience and Captioned Performance takes place on July 25, 2026, and a Pay What You Choose night is scheduled for July 5, 2026.
