Slipstream Theatre Initiative presents TALES FROM THE MITTEN What is it that makes theater in Michigan unique? Dan and Luna don't know exactly, but they've only got one audition to figure something out. Exploring the same audition through several different lenses, Dan and Luna offer insight on the peaks and valleys of acting in the Mitten State - trading laughs, reflections, and perspective on everything from the driving force of imagination and the crippling effect of discrimination, to the curiously strong magic of tape ball in Pure Michigan. A tribute to the driving creative forces in our home state.

Join Slipstream Theatre Initiative as we present Tales from the Mitten - an original work written by company residents Luna Alexander and Dan Johnson. You will laugh until you cry, and you will cry because of how truthful and relatable the experiences are. You don't even have to be an actor, theatre pro, or any kind of art aficionado to enjoy this 90-minute romp into Pure Michigan madness. W. May be telling tales out of school, but they're juicy and entertaining - which is what we all want, right? On a serious note, the production features award-winning Luna Alexander and Dan Johnson as they bare all - emotionally, personally, and truthfully. See what makes us all alike, and gain a new understanding of what keeps us apart. This production is hilarious and heartwarming. And it'll probably be your new favorite!

Artistic Director Bailey Boudreau "loosely" directs the fully devised piece and Technical Director Ryan Ernst is responsible for all the technical elements. The cast is only Luna and Dan, with some surprise voice over artists.

The production runs weekends January 5th through January 28th. Check website for specific show dates and times. Tickets are $12 in advance only and available via www.slipstreamti.com or by emailing InsideTheSlipstream@gmail.com. Slipstream Theatre Initiative is located at 460 Hilton in Ferndale.
