The Dio - Dining & Entertainment, Livingston County's professional, award winning dinner theatre, is very excited to present the classic Broadway comedy, Barefoot in the Park, by Neil Simon, directed by Greg Bailey.

Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. After a six day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie's loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic Velasco, where everything that can go wrong, does.

The New York Times called the original Broadway production, "A bubbling, rib-tickling comedy." And The New York Daily News said, "Critic weeps joyfully. I don't think anybody stopped laughing while the curtain was up."

All tickets include The Dio's dinner buffet, a non-alcoholic beverage, dessert and the show. The menu for Barefoot in the Park will include homemade bread sticks topped with melted butter and garlic, crisp garden salad with choice of dressing, seasonal veggies sautéed in garlic, butter and herbs, pasta with zucchini, mushrooms and dried tomatoes tossed in a white wine sauce, The Dio's signature all white meat chicken breast, hand breaded and fried to a golden brown, plus dessert served during intermission.

Barefoot in the Park features performances by Peter Crist, Stephen Dean, Steve DeBruyne, Mary Dilworth, Dan Morrison and Sonja Marquis.

Performances take place at The Dio, 177 E. Main Street, Pinckney Michigan, 48169 from February 3 through March 5, Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons. There will be one Thursday evening performance on February 2 and one Thursday matinee on March 2.

Tickets for all performances are available now and may be purchased by visiting diotheatre.com or by calling (517) 672-6009. Seating is limited, so consider making your reservations well in advance.
