Firebringer is a stone-age musical about a tribe of early humans, led by Jemilla, the Peacemaker. Jemilla stands for modern values, like working hard and trying to understand the world. Then there’s Zazzalil. She’s not lazy — she’s efficient. Gathering nuts and berries day after day after day isn’t a life, it’s a sentence. She does what any restless genius would do: she starts experimenting. In doing so, she stumbles onto the single most important discovery in all of human history.

What follows is a whirlwind comedic adventure that pits the tribe against a duck, a mammoth, and the most terrifying predator to ever walk the earth — a beast known only as Snarl. Featuring the song “We Got Work to Do” — the viral anthem that united the entire internet in one deeply relatable sentiment: “I don’t really want to do the work today.”
