D.L. Parsons Theatre Hosts Auditions for ROAHL DAHL's WILLY WONKA, 9/9

D.L. Parsons Theatre, as part of Northglenn Recreation, will hold auditions for the newly release musical, ROAHL DAHL's WILLY WONKA, on Tuesday, September 7th and Thursday, September 9th. To schedule an appointment time, call 303-450-8800.

The auditions are available for youth ages 8 to 18. There are approximately 45 to 50 roles available. A prepared one-minute comedic monologue, head-shot, and resume are needed to audition. Music will be taught at audition; no advance musical prep please.

There is a fee of $90 which covers the costume as well as a T-shirt. Rehearsals will be Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, beginning September 14th. Performances will be from November 12th to the 20th. Tickets will be $6.50 for students and seniors and $7.50 for adults.

The lyrics and music are by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley. Adapted for the stage by Tim McDonald, the musical is based on the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by Roald Dahl. It is produced by special arrangement with Music Theatre International. This is the timeless story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir which based two feature films.
