Based on the true story of eleven Womens Institute (WI) members who posed nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukemia Research Fund.When Annies husband John dies of leukemia, she and her best friend Chris resolve to raise money for a new settee for the local hospitals waiting room. The question becomes, how to raise the money. After finding adult magazines in her sons bedroom, a girly calendar at the local garage, sexually charged advertisements and more, Chris puts two and two together, devises a plan, and persuades other fellow WI members to pose nude with them for an alternative calendar. The news of the womens charitable venture spreads like wildfire, and soon hordes of press descend on the small Yorkshire village, where hilarity ensues.
