Victoria Theatre Association presents Mid-Day Arts Café, Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in the Mathile Theatre at the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center.  February's Mid-Day Arts Café highlights TENDERLY: THE Rosemary Clooney MUSICAL, a musical about the inspiring life of legendary singer and actress Rosemary Clooney, playing February 21 – March 4, at the historic Victoria Theatre. TENDERLY is a product of the annual collaboration between Victoria Theatre Association (VTA) and The Human Race Theatre Company (THRTC).   

February's Mid-Day Arts Café features THRTC's Producing Artistic Director Kevin Moore, who will lead an intimate look at the creation of the musical TENDERLY and discuss the life- long journey and challenges faced by legendary singer, actress, wife, and mother, Rosemary ClooneyTENDERLY co-authors, Janet Vogt and Mark Friedman, will also be on-hand to chat about their journey of creating the musical, and local actress Maddie Castro (understudy for Tory Ross' Rosemary Clooney) will perform few songs from the show.

Mid-Day Arts Cafe is a series presented by Victoria Theatre Association and offers a variety of performances from locAl Dayton arts groups. In cooperation with the Dayton Opera, Dayton Philharmonic, Muse Machine, Dayton Ballet, Zoot Theatre Company, FilmDayton, and The Human Race Theatre Company, VTA offers the chance for the local community to network with area arts lovers, view sneak peeks of upcoming performances and enjoy the opportunity to get out of the office for an enjoyable lunch time!

Tickets for the Mid-Day Arts Café are $12 each and include a delicious box lunch from Citilites Restaurant & Bar. Patrons will also have a chance to network with fellow arts and culture lovers while Dayton's incredible arts companies show off their talents, tell their stories, preview upcoming performances and answer your questions. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
