Miami Valley And Good Samaritan Hospitals Broadway Series Opens With BROADWAY HOLIDAY!
Victoria Theatre Association and Leftfield Productions, Inc. kick off the Miami Valley and Good Samaritan Hospitals Broadway Series with BROADWAY HOLIDAY, December 8-20, 2009 at the historic Victoria Theatre.
BROADWAY HOLIDAY is a co-production and collaboration with composer and lyricist Neil Berg. Broadway stars such as Norm Lewis (The Little Mermaid), Marc Kudisch (9 to 5), Rita Harvey (The Phantom of the Opera), Carter Calvert (Ain't Nuthin But The Blues) and Danny Zolli (Jesus Christ Superstar) entertain audiences in a concert-setting, highlighted by state-of-the-art lighting and scenic design by designers John Rensel and Patrick Keough.
This jam-packed Holiday show is sure to entertain featuring a myriad of show tunes from classic shows like South Pacific and Guys and Dolls to more contemporary hits like Chicago and Jersey Boys, not to mention some of our most beloved holiday songs from Broadway shows-"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "White Christmas," and many more!Local Talent Share the Stage"A fun component of this co-production is the local twist we are adding to the show," says Tina McPhearson, Vice-President of Programming at Victoria Theatre Association. "The Miami Valley is well-known for its talented citizens so we created an opportunity for them to audition to sing on-stage with our Broadway talent." Over 30 singers auditioned through either live auditions or submissions via YouTube, Facebook and MySpace with two winners and five runners-up chosen to perform during the 16 performance run of BROADWAY HOLIDAY.Love Theater in Dayton?
