Victoria Theatre Association and The Human Race Theatre Company announced today that Lanford Wilson's Tally's Folly will be replaced on the 2009-2010 Miami Valley and Good Samaritan Hospitals Broadway Series, with the humorous and witty Moonlight and Magnolias by Ron Huchinson, May 11-23, 2010 in the historic Victoria Theatre.

"Apparently, Tally's Folly has caught the eye of Broadway producers," states Ken Neufeld, President & CEO for Victoria Theatre Association (VTA), "...it is being considered for revival in the Big Apple and the rights to produce the play are no longer available." Long-time subscribers may remember the production in the fall of 2006 at The Loft as a collaboration between VTA and The Human Race Theatre Company. Moonlight and Magnolias will be a "...revival of our own," says Neufeld "It was a great success there and we think more Miami Valley theatergoers deserve the opportunity to enjoy it in a larger venue like the Victoria." The Human Race Theatre Company and VTA will once again combine their efforts to produce the play.

Moonlight and Magnolias is set in 1939, where producer David O. Sezlnick is given just five days to turn the disastrous script of Gone with the Wind into a blockbuster or his career will be ruined. In desperation, Selznick locks himself in his office with director Victor Fleming and screenwriter Ben Hecht to salvage the script in a marathon rewrite session. Tempers wear thin and patience is tried as the story behind the film's now-famous dialog unfolds in glorious Technicolor right before the audience's eyes.

Moonlight and Magnolias is part of the 2009-2010 Miami Valley and Good Samaritan Broadway Series presenting a spectacular season line-up of: Broadway Holiday, December 9-20, 2009; WICKED, February 17- March 7, 2010; The Aluminum Show, March 9-21, 2010; A Chorus Line, April 27- May 2, 2010; Moonlight and Magnolias, May 11-13, 2010; and, The Phantom of the Opera, June 9-27, 2010.
