About this studio
Wild Space Dance Company is a professional contemporary dance company based at 820 East Knapp Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a performance history running back to 1987. Led by artistic director Dan Schuchart, it is known for site-specific work staged outside conventional theatres - its InSite series has been performed at Havenwoods State Forest and Davidson Park - alongside stage productions at venues such as the Broadway Theatre Center and the Jan Serr Studio. Recent works include Beyond the Shimmer, A Room Shaped Story, InSite: Field Guide, and Radiant Echoes, a Summerfest collaboration with FuzzPop Workshop. Beyond performance the company runs the Wild Arts Camp, school and community residencies and outreach programming.
