Appleton School of Dancing

Now operating as Valley Social Dance Studio at 1331 W Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton, Wisconsin, this ballroom studio has been teaching people of all ages to dance for more than three decades. Its stated mission is to help students discover the power, energy and magic of ballroom dancing in a low-stress, relaxed and social setting, and it works with complete beginners as well as experienced dancers. Certified instructors teach private one-to-one lessons, available Monday to Friday between 1pm and 10pm, with the first private lesson free. Group classes run in short four- and three-week blocks at basic, intermediate and advanced levels, covering traditional ballroom dances and current social dances. The studio hosts a public dance party with a lesson and refreshments on one Friday and one Saturday each month, and offers tailored preparation for weddings, anniversaries, bar mitzvahs, cruises and other special occasions. It has been voted Best Dance Class in the Appleton Post-Crescent Best of the Valley contest.
