Virtuosity Dance Centre

Virtuosity Dance Center (VDC) is a dance studio at 103 N Rubey Drive in Golden, Colorado, established in 2013 and led by director Amanda. It teaches ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, modern, lyrical, contemporary and acro, with a preschool program for ages 2-5, a full performance dance program for ages 6 and up, open adult classes and audition- or invitation-only pre-professional performing companies, competition teams and a hip hop team for ages 7 and up. Recreational classes remain available alongside the more serious tracks, and a leadership team gives teenagers teaching assistant and volunteer opportunities. The ballet program is overseen by ABT Affiliate Teacher Kathryn Wright and follows the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum from pre-primary through Level 5 plus pointe work. The studio runs two semesters, mid-August to mid-December ending in a holiday performance and mid-January to end of May ending in a spring concert, each staged twice with an evening and a matinee show. Competition teams attend a convention or competition twice a year, and the hip hop team performs at the annual Monsters event in Denver. The studio also hosts birthday parties and rents studio space.
