About this studio
Viki Lynn's School of Dance opened in the summer of 1966 and operates from 611 Spinning Road in the East Plaza Shopping Center in Dayton, Ohio, a short drive from Riverside, WPAFB, Beavercreek, Fairborn and Kettering. The school teaches Kinderdance, ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and acrobat/tumbling, with viewing windows for all classes so parents can watch. Kinderdance serves ages 3 and 4 and concentrates on body awareness, coordination, rhythm, listening skills and following directions, with occasional themed classes. Ballet and tap begin at age 5, acrobat at 4, jazz at 7 and hip hop at 9, each running from beginner through advanced with the studio director assigning placement after the beginner level. Acrobat classes combine mat tumbling with acrobatic skills that also support cheerleading and gymnastics. The school stages an annual recital.
