About this studio
Top Hat Dance Center, Inc. (THDCI) is a family-owned dance school founded in 1963 that has trained students across the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area, serving ages 2 to 20. It began in a one-room studio and now occupies a facility with five dance rooms at 2200 Morriss Road in Flower Mound, drawing families from Carrollton, The Colony, Coppell, Denton, Frisco, Grapevine, Highland Village, Lantana, Lewisville and Southlake. It is run by directors Sharon Todd, Brandye Burris and Blayde Burris, who trained and worked professionally in Los Angeles. The studio uses a progressive syllabus developed over decades, places each student by age and skill level rather than publishing a full class schedule, and stages an end-of-year show in a proscenium theatre.
