About this studio
Tip Toes and Taps was founded in 1981 and has taught dance and tumbling in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) for more than four decades, based in North Augusta, South Carolina. Ballet is its core program of study, taught classically through barre and center work with attention to alignment and artistry, and supported by pre-pointe and pointe classes for advanced students. The studio also teaches tap (both rhythm/hoofing and Broadway styles), jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre and cheer pom, and runs a separate tumbling program and private lessons. Classes run year round for students aged 2 and up, from beginner to pre-professional levels, with some programs designed specifically for very young dancers. The studio's stated values include integrity, process over product, and community outreach in the CSRA.
