One Academy of Dance

ONE Academy of Dance has trained dancers in the greater Austin area since 2011 and works from a 5,400 square foot facility with four studios and sprung hardwood floors at 8313 Highway 71 West, Suite 100. It is a Christian-founded school specializing in classical ballet using the Cecchetti method, with certified faculty, deliberately small classes and individualised instruction. Programs are structured by age and level: Foundations and Enrichment from age 3, Preparatory and Cecchetti Ballet from age 7, and Advanced and Pre-Professional from age 10, with older students training in ballet, pointe, contemporary, modern, jazz and variations. Summer intensives and weekly classes run for ages 3 to 20. Performance opportunities include the winter Nutcracker, the spring Art in Motion showcase and an additional spring production such as Cinderella. Pre-professional and advanced dancers may compete on teacher recommendation, and students have won places and scholarships at Cecchetti Council of America events, the Universal Ballet Competition and Youth America Grand Prix.
