About this studio
DanceNelia is the ballroom and Latin dance studio of instructor Nelia Lawton at 186 Roffee Street in Barrington, Rhode Island. It teaches adults social partner dancing, with absolute beginners welcomed and no partner needed. Group classes run on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in three consecutive four-week sessions per season across winter, spring, summer and autumn, progressing through beginner, intermediate, advanced and silver levels. Dances covered across the year include waltz, Viennese waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, tango, swing, hustle, cha cha, mambo, samba and rumba. Private lessons are also available, and the studio hosts regular dance parties and dinner dances, including a supper club night with live music from a local high school jazz ensemble.
