Dance Attitudes was founded in 2002 and describes itself as Pawtucket's longest-running dance studio, opening its 25th season on September 14, 2026. It is run by owners Katie Mazzeo and Kelly Smith, who together bring more than 75 years of dance experience, and the studio has just moved into a new space at 95 Grand Avenue with the entrance on Carter Avenue. Teaching is aimed mainly at children and covers ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical and acrobatics, with combination classes grouping the youngest dancers by stage rather than single year: PreDance for ages 2 to 5, then Elementary, Junior and Senior divisions through grade 12, plus an adult team. A recreational program welcomes dancers of all ages, the studio also fields a competition team known as the All Stars, and every student performs in the annual recital.
