About this studio
Mise Eire Irish Dancers is an Irish dance school based in Babylon, New York, under the direction of Patti Love, TCRG. The name is Gaelic for "I am Ireland", taken from the Padraic Pearse poem, and the school's stated belief is that every dancer, beginner or advanced, young or old, carries Irish culture in every step. Classes combine dance technique and steps with work on self-awareness, self-esteem and teamwork, and the school frames Irish dance as a way for children to build appreciation of cultural art forms generally. Instruction runs from pre-schoolers aged four and up through to adults, and classes are held at the AOH Division 2 Hall in Babylon. Mise Eire is a registered school with An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha and the North American Irish Dance Teachers' Association, and it runs summer classes and a summer camp alongside its autumn term.
