Mareck Center For Dance

Mareck Center for Dance is a non-profit dance organization in Columbia, Missouri, formerly known as Missouri Contemporary Ballet, and celebrating more than a decade of work. It combines a professional touring company, Mareck Dance, with a school and a program of community outreach, describing its mission as transforming the community through the joy of dance via performances, professional education and outreach. The school takes dancers of all ages and experience levels across a variety of genres, with year-round divisions comprising an Early Childhood Division for ages 3 and up, a Pre-Professional Division for ages 8 and up, an Adult Open Division for teens and adults, and DanceAbility for students with different abilities. Classes run Monday through Saturday at a range of times. Summer offerings include a Children's Dance Camp for ages 3 to 7, a Junior Summer Intensive for ages 7 to 13 and a Pre-Professional Summer Intensive for ages 12 and up. The organization also runs community events including Dancing With Missouri Stars and a choreographic installation series.
