Dance classes in Clarksville, Indiana
Invitation to Dance (ITD) is a southern Indiana dance and tumbling school with two locations: 108 E Stansifer Ave in Clarksville and 110 Elm St in Corydon. It teaches ages two and up and emphasises affordability, describing its goal as helping children develop into good dancers and well-rounded individuals. Kinderdance for three to five year olds explores movement, coordination, ballet concepts, physical fitness and early rhythm skills through imagination and music, while combination classes give younger students a half hour of each of several dance forms. Older students study tap, jazz, ballet taught in graded levels, lyrical (which requires concurrent ballet enrollment), pointe at the teacher's discretion once ballet technique and strength allow, hip hop at beginner and intermediate/advanced levels, musical theatre, cheer and tumbling from basic somersaults and cartwheels through walkovers, handsprings and aerials. The studio stages recitals.
