Conservatory of Dance Company

Conservatory of Dance is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit dance school at 14678 State Road 23 in Granger, Indiana, serving the Michiana area. It teaches ballet, modern, jazz and tap to students from age 3 through adults, offering pre-professional technique to beginners as well as advanced dancers in what it describes as a family-friendly atmosphere; most of its instructors have over twenty years of teaching experience. The school's stated aim is building character and community through dance and helping dancers navigate challenges on and off the stage. Classes are organized in three tiers - Foundations at one class a week, Technique at two to three, and Mastery at four to six - with a sibling discount and an optional paid placement class allowing prospective students to try classes before registering. Performances, including full-length ballets such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and The Nutcracker, are optional rather than required. Summer brings in-studio classes plus dance camps for ages 3-5 and 6-9 and a mini intensive for ages 10-14. The studio also publishes the Not Just Tutus blog.
