The Institute of Dancing Arts is a dance studio in the Redlands area of Grand Junction, on Colorado's western slope, at 2148 Broadway, Suite C-4. It provides classical training with a strong emphasis on technique in ballet, pointe, pas de deux and tap, teaching students from young children through to adults. The studio describes its approach as nurturing, aiming to develop students in body, mind and spirit as well as in technique, and it frames dance as a holistic activity that builds discipline, focus, manners, grace and strength at any age. The studio space is bright and airy with a sprung professional dance floor chosen for dancer health and safety. Students take part in community outreach, regularly performing at area nursing homes and churches, which gives them performing experience.
