About this studio
Hello Dancer is a Lafayette, Louisiana studio at 114 Rena Drive specializing exclusively in young children aged 1 to 9. Programs are grouped as a toddler Mommy & Me class, a Pre-K program for 3s and 4s and a children's program for ages 5 to 9, covering ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and creative movement, plus holiday and summer camps and birthday parties. The studio deliberately runs no recitals and no competitions; instead each short session ends with an 'informance', an informal in-studio performance for that class alone. Classes are capped at 10-12 children, parents have an open viewing area, and teaching is described as whole-child and conceptual rather than steps-only. Pathway Scholarships are offered.
