About this studio
FOCUS Dance Center was established in Irvine, California in 2003 by Monie Adamson and her husband Darick Parrish, with the aim of creating a studio reflecting the family standards of the Irvine community and a safe, inclusive setting for dance and fitness. More than twenty seasons on, Adamson leads a team of around 30 teaching faculty and office staff. The studio teaches jazz, musical theatre, tap, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, K-Pop and acro alongside fitness classes, for all levels and ages from 3 upward. Its competitive side comprises Company PRO, Company and a Competition Starter Program, which include competitions, conventions, master classes, audition training and help building college resumes.
