About this studio
First City Dance Studio is at 657 Mag 7 Court in Bemidji, Minnesota. It runs two main tracks. The recreational program is open to all ages and levels from 18 months and older, with classes in tap, jazz, ballet, musical theatre and hip hop, and is aimed at letting dancers sample different styles and build skills socially. The competitive program is for dancers who want to intensify their training, spending several hours a week in the studio refining technique and performance; competition team tryouts are held in August during the studio's summer Dance Intensive. Alongside weekly classes the studio offers workshops and summer programs, publishes a full 2026-2027 studio schedule, and stages an annual Nutcracker production.
