En Croix Dance Academy

En Croix Dance Academy is a Christ-centred, faith-based dance academy at 1131 E. 42nd St. in Odessa, Texas, owned and operated by Kristin Carter and Kayla Kruse. The studio combines studio-style technical training with a team-based atmosphere, aiming to develop dancers' skills alongside self-esteem, confidence and character. Classes begin or end with prayer, dancers learn a bible verse each month, and Christian music is used alongside age-appropriate mainstream music for classes, recital numbers and competition routines; costumes are chosen to be modest and age appropriate. The academy runs three teams, a senior company and a range of recreational classes, and follows a set curriculum across all classes so students progress consistently. Lead teachers are either certified dance teachers in the state of Texas, hold a college dance degree, or have ten or more years of dance training. Fall registration is held in July, with first-class pricing starting at $55 a month.
