Elevation Studios (LV8) is a dance studio in Signal Hill, California offering four tracks. The Concert Class Program serves ages 3-12 with no auditions or experience required, covering creative movement, combo, tiny tumbling, pre-ballet, pre-jazz, pre-tap and beginning to intermediate youth hip hop, jazz, lyrical, tap and ballet. The Academy Program is for experienced dancers aged 8-18, with six progressive levels of jazz, lyrical/contemporary, ballet, tap and hip hop plus flexibility and conditioning and tricks and turns; auditions and evaluation are required. Competitive Teams are split into three groups - Performance Group, Project Sky and Off The Floor - which train and compete at selected competitions and conventions. Teen and adult drop-in classes in jazz, contemporary, hip hop, ballet, tap and Pilates are open to all levels at $20 a class, with student, Actors Equity and SAG-AFTRA discounts. Students perform in a holiday showcase and the end-of-season June Concert, and a summer camp runs each year.
