Denver Dance Center

Denver Dance Center at 2496 West 2nd Avenue in Denver describes itself as the most complete adult dance program in the Denver metro area, offering drop-in open classes for intermediate to professional-level adult dancers seven days a week, including most holidays. The program grew out of Colorado Ballet's adult classes, built up by founder Kris Kehl from 1985 and established in its own premises in 2009; former Colorado Ballet principal Sharon Wehner took ownership in October 2023. High-quality ballet is the core offering, with independent teachers hosting modern, jazz, contemporary, samba, capoeira, heels, hip hop, folk dance and burlesque in the same space. The center is also home to Ballet Ariel, which rehearses there, and to wellness practices including pilates, dance medicine, GYROTONIC method, yoga and nutrition coaching. Its sprung marley-covered studio is available for hourly rental, and it runs a summer intensive weekend.
