Beyond Center Stage (BCS Performing Arts) is a performing arts academy at 401 E North Avenue in Villa Park, Illinois, serving the western Chicago suburbs including Elmhurst, Lombard, Oak Brook and Wheaton. It teaches dance to students aged 2 to 18 in recreational and pre-professional tracks, including a pre-professional ballet program, classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical and modern, a Dynomites program for children from age one through kindergarten, recreational classes for grades 1-12, private dance lessons and acro-tumbling for ages 4-18. Alongside dance it offers acting, on-camera and musical theatre classes for ages 6-18 and private music lessons in voice, piano and guitar for ages 4 to adult. Competition dance teams are open to both recreational and serious students aged 4-18. The academy occupies a 10,000 square foot facility with four studios with sprung marley floors, a dedicated acro and tumbling room, a 60-seat black box theatre, four music rooms, a cafeteria and a store, and runs two summer sessions plus a September-to-May school year with an end-of-year recital.
