About this studio
Contemporary Dance Academy is a dance studio at 2531 S. Shields in Fort Collins, Colorado, teaching dancers of all ages and levels. Classes are offered in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, contemporary/lyrical and pointe, organized through a levelling system with two streams: a Recreational Track and a more intensive Fast Track, with private lessons also available. The studio says its aim is to produce well-rounded dancers and to teach etiquette, responsibility and self-confidence alongside technique. Students have several performance opportunities each year, including the annual Clara and the Nutcracker production staged at a local theatre, a spring production, and an auditioned Performance Team. The academy also runs a dance shop and rents studio space, and registration for the 2026-2027 season opened in June.
