About this studio
Chara Christian Dance Academy is a faith-based dance and music school with locations in Friendswood and Pearland, Texas, now in its 21st season. Dance classes start with Boppin' Babies for 9-24 month olds and parent/tot creative movement and acro, move through preschool dance and acro for ages 3-6, and continue into graded technique classes in several styles for ages 7 and up, with placement required at advanced levels. The academy also offers adult ballet for 18+, DanceABILITIES special-needs classes for ages 14+, a theatre program in Pearland, monthly themed day camps, summer intensives, private one-to-one lessons, birthday parties and the Bloom fine arts preschool for ages 3-6. A music department with roughly 120 students and eight instructors teaches one-to-one lessons year round. Chara is a Youth Protection Advocates in Dance certified studio.
