About this studio
Brooklyn Dance Academy is a family-run studio at 9050 Pulsar Ct., Ste F in Corona, California, founded by owner and artistic director Jessica Warwick and her husband Joshua to serve South Corona and Temescal Valley. Warwick holds a master's degree in education and taught elementary school for 13 years, and the studio emphasises technique, discipline and a family atmosphere. Programming is age-tiered: Star Babies and Star Combo introductory classes for ages 2-6 mix ballet, tap and creative movement in age-specific curricula, with large viewing windows so parents can watch; Pre-classes for ages 5-7 bridge into single-genre training; and levelled classes in ballet, jazz and hip hop run for ages 6-19. Advanced levels such as Jazz 3 and Hip Hop 3 are audition or invitation only and feed the BDA Competition Team. Classes are offered mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
