Brava Center LLC

Brava Dance Center is a dance school with studios at 220 Purchase Street in Rye, New York and 10 Pearl Street in Port Chester, four studio spaces in total. Founded in September 2009 in the carriage house studio at the Wainwright House in Rye and now in its 17th season, it was established and is directed by Jenny Hogan, a former Broadway dancer and long-time assistant to director-choreographer Kathleen Marshall. The school runs a leveled, progressive program focused on technique and versatility, teaching ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, hip hop, acro, conditioning and Progressing Ballet Technique to children from age 1.5 to 18, from beginners through pre-professional competitive dancers. Training is organized into the Studio Program, an Intensive Track and the competitive Company, with additional Ensemble, Apprentice and Core groups, and there is a Dance With Me class for the youngest children. The year includes a Land of the Sweets winter show and a spring performance, plus summer dance camp and a summer intensive; scholarships are offered.
