About this studio
Ballet Hawaii is a nonprofit dance organization that has been teaching and presenting dance in Hawaii for 50 years, with a stated mission to teach, produce, present and promote dance in the islands. It operates two studio locations - the Honolulu studios at 735 Iwilei Road in the Dole Cannery Building, and Ballet Hawaii West at 94-450 Mokuola Street in Waipahu - and accepts students from age 3 upward, with a fall session beginning in late August. Alongside its graded school program, Ballet Hawaii runs adult and teen open classes, master classes and a summer intensive that culminates in its own production. The Performing Ensemble gives advanced students company-level performance experience, and the organization's season includes an annual Nutcracker, a Spring Showcase, in-studio performances and a gala. A community outreach program extends its work beyond the studio, and studio space is available for rental.
