Honolulu Dance Studio

Honolulu Dance Studio is a dance school at 1030 Queen St., #2A in Honolulu, Hawaii, marking a 40-year legacy. It accepts students from age three through adult at levels from basic to professional, and private lessons are available by appointment. Class offerings include contemporary and jazz, classical ballet and ballet theory, hip hop, lyrical and modern, Pre-Ballet/Jazz and Kidz Hip Hop for young children, adult classes, musical theatre classes and online classes. The studio partners with Boogie Down Production's Jared Ake and ballet mistress Elizabeth Miller to widen its range of styles, and also runs workshops for visiting dance groups. Annual activities include a summer intensive, the Dancecapade production, the Boogie Down Hawaii show and competition travel, and a second site is operated as HDS West. Registration and class credits are handled online.
