About this studio
The Pla-Mor Ballroom at 6600 West O Street in Lincoln, Nebraska is the city's longest-standing ballroom, open since December 23, 1929 and in use for over 90 years. It is primarily an events venue rather than a dance school: it hosts weddings, concerts, graduation parties, quinceaneras, class reunions and company parties, and can seat up to 600 guests with in-house bar and security staff included in rentals. Over its history it has presented big bands and touring artists including Count Basie, Lawrence Welk, Blake Shelton and the resident Bobby Layne Orchestra. Its regular public dance event is Sunday Night Country Night, featuring two live bands from 8pm with admission of $8, preceded by free dance lessons at 7pm. Most events carry no age restriction.
