About this studio
Wahoo Dance Academy (WDA) has operated for over 20 years from 345 E 10th Street in Wahoo, Nebraska, with a mailing address in Ashland. It presents itself as a family-friendly, inclusive studio welcoming dancers of any age, background or experience level, whether dancing for fun or with more serious goals. The curriculum begins with Creative Movement for ages 3 to 4 and Intro to Ballet for ages 4 to 5, then progresses through ballet with pre-pointe and pointe (pre-pointe requires turning 12 during the season and concurrent ballet enrollment; other pointe classes are invitation only), tap and jazz from kindergarten or age 7, and lyrical, musical theatre and acro from the Petite level upward, most of which require concurrent ballet and/or jazz enrollment. Hip hop is offered from the Mini 2 level. Summer classes are also available, and registration runs through an online parent portal.
